Microsoft has started to roll out Service Pack 2 for Windows Vista to the public this week via Microsoft's Automatic Updates. Service Pack 2 had previously been in Beta form for Microsoft Tech Net subscribers and underwent testing over several months.
The Service Pack is a rollup of all updates and critical fixes for Vista since Service Pack 1. It's a whopping 350MB file that may take a considerable chunk of your download quota and quite some time to download so expect it to start showing up in the next week or so.
The Service Pack is also said to add enhancements to new hardware and software platforms as well as adding support for emerging hardware standards since the release of Service Pack 1.
