My name is Carl Butcher, I'm 27 from Cairns, Queensland, Australia. I originally started my business as a hobby in 2001, although I'd been operating unofficially for a lot longer before then, providing service and support to friends, family and a small client base.

I quickly started gaining status as the "Computer Guy" and before long my little hobby had turned into a business. I love helping others and have a passion for technology which when you meet me will become evident. I take my time to explain technical jargon in easy to understand language and show you how technology can work for you.

I've always loved computers since my early days in Primary School playing with the Commodore 64, Amstrad PC's and Apple Computers of the day. This passion continued into High School where I quickly grasped the Windows operating environment, having self taught myself in Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows 2000. I also took an active grasp at the Apple OS 9 operating system of the day. Although Windows appealed to me more at the time.

I gained the overall Academic Achievement Award in Information Processing Technology in my senior schooling from Saint Augustine's College and studied Information Technology at James Cook University in Cairns during my Bachelor of Business course. I graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Business Management at the start of 2009 having completed my studies at the end of 2008.

Carlos Computers has a strong ethical commitment to supplying the best customer service at the best price. It's this commitment to customer service that continues to drive word of mouth recommendations from the Carlos Computers customer base.

So where did the "Carlos" part of your business name come from?

When I originally started my business as a hobby I used my name in a play on words as in Carl.OS, Carl Operating Systems. Everyone started calling me Carlos so the name stuck and I've been using it ever since.
