A Message From Carl, Owner and Manager of Carlos Computers.
It’s with a heavy heart that I write this message as Carlos Computers will officially cease operations on 21st December, 2012.
In recent times my passion for IT has waned interest and I no longer feel the excitement I once did for this profession.
I've been accepted into the Queensland Police Service as a police recruit and I'm looking forward to this opportunity in a completely different field of work.
I’d like to thank every one of my customers for your loyalty and the opportunity to service your IT needs over the past 12 years of business.
I never thought in my wildest dreams that the hobby I originally started in my bedroom in high school would grow into a self-sustaining business and provide me with such opportunity over the last decade.
I’d especially like to thank several people and businesses that helped grow my business in the early years by having the confidence in me as their “IT Guy”:

I’d especially like to thank Greg and Lora, my previous employers at the Kuranda Village Coffee Shop who allowed me to place business cards and flyers on the counter when I was first starting out.
I’d also like to thank my very close friends; Ty, Dane, Denz, Luke, CJ, Dook, Shane and Nathan who helped me immensely in the early days of Carlos Computers by spreading the word amongst their work colleagues and wider circle of friends.
But the one person, who I owe a great deal of gratitude towards, is my dad, Garry. My dad was my initial investor, having donated part of the capital for my investment in my first PC which allowed me to operate out of my bedroom in my early years.
Garry’s business sense and advice also helped me establish very early on my morals and values as a self-employed operator, by providing my customers with the best service possible.
Moving forward, existing warranties will still be honoured. If you purchased a laptop, this is handled directly by the manufacturer. Please consult your documentation for contact details. For custom PC systems, please don’t hesitate to call or email me.
My client base will be taken over by a very good friend of mine, Nathan Odgers. Rest assured you will be in good hands and he will be liaising with me in a transition period. Please don't hesitate to contact Nathan on 0499 998 900.
